I bought this book to enjoy the Sequoia National Park. I'm a 63 yrs old Male with an artificial knee and hip. I've used this book on 2 hikes so far. The first one was listed as "Easy", I would class it as moderately difficult. Yesterday we tried this book that was listed as "Easy". I would class this hike as Difficult. I'm of average fitness. I don't know what level of fitness the author expects a person to be have. You should carefully the difficulty of the hike you are going on. This book is Very misleading as to the difficulty of the hikes. I saw many people struggling on the hike yesterday, and they were more than 30 years younger than me. It is well written and printed, but the difficulty of the hikes are Very Misleading!I'm adding an additional review. My fiancee convinced me to go on a 3rd hike using this book. Amazon will Not allow me to give No Stars! We attempted to go on the "Roaring River Falls to Zumwalt Meadow" Hike. Using the directions in this book exactly it is impossible to find the Zumwalt Meadow trailhead. We spent 20 minutes we could find the trail head. It says go .01 mile, then backtrack .02 mile to the Zumwalt trail. From the parking lot that lead us to think that we should go .01 mile opposite of Roaring River (.01- .02) , we couldn't find a trail a trail crossing the road. We walked down the road looking for a trail. We walked about .05 mile down the road looking for a trail. I looked to the South side of the road. I finally saw a trail. We walked over to a trail, and after about 50 yards I discovered that there was a downed tree that I wasn't comfortable climbing over ( I realize that this is not Laurel Scheidt's fault). Because of a thunderstorm we walked back toward Roaring River Falls. When we got there I realized that the Zumwalt was about 200 Feet from Roaring River Falls not .02 mile. We were getting wet so we walked back to the parking lot.I would sell this book for $ .50, but I don't want to be the reason that the buyer gets lost!
